Tonia Thomas

Tonia Thomas is a passionate and purpose-driven public health professional with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a University Certificate of Education. Her professional development has been strengthened through additional training in Monitoring and Evaluation in Global Health from the University of Washington, Maternal Mental Health through the eMAMA Postgraduate training program, and Good Clinical Practice, among other qualifications.

Her journey has been guided by a genuine desire to serve, learn, and give back. As an Emerging Public Leaders Malawi Public Service Fellow, she has gained leadership and public service experience while contributing to the Blantyre District Health Office, including EPI, IDSR, TB, health promotion, and community health. Her involvement in cholera research strengthened her passion for evidence-based practice, while her background in education, public health, and leadership drives her commitment to sharing knowledge and creating meaningful impact.

At Beyond Borders D-E Consulting Group, Tonia supports administration, communications and client relations, contributing to the consultancy's administrative, communication, research, coordination, and client-related activities. She sees this role not only as an opportunity to grow professionally, but also as a chance to contribute her time, skills, and ideas to the growth and work of the consultancy.
